MAKING LONG BEACH BETTER

When Dignity Health –– the parent company for St. Mary Medical Center – created its tagline, hello humankindness, it created a new word: HumanKindness.

The idea behind the term is simple and yet immensely profound.

Every human person is a unity of body, mind, and spirit.

Which means that every person has the power and potential to bring healing to others.

The concept of HumanKindness is that every person is a caretaker at heart – if we have the will to reach out and make the life of even ONE other person better.

HumanKindness is what St. Mary Medical Center is all about!

The Spirit of St. Mary Award is presented to those who live HumanKindess – daily they make the lives of other people better.
