Helping Hands

Every year, Dignity Health - St. Mary Medical Center hosts Helping Hands, a holiday program that serves as a means of providing charitable items to a select group of community members in need. Helping Hands enables more than 250 families every year to have a truly "Merry Christmas", in some cases it is the only gifts they will receive. The Long Beach Fire Department attends with "Sparky" and Santa makes an appearance. 

The annual event serves select families from our Mary Hilton Mother & Child Center, our Families in Good Health program and the CARE Center. St. Mary collaborates with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, San Pedro Region in hopes that together, we can reach more underserved in our community.
