MAKING LONG BEACH BETTER

When Dignity Health –– the parent company for St. Mary Medical Center –  created its tagline, hello humankindness, it created a new word:  HumanKindness.

 

The idea behind the term is simple and yet immensely profound.

• Every human person is a unity of body, mind, and spirit.

• Which means that every person has the power and potential to bring healing to others.

• The concept of HumanKindness is that every person is a caretaker at heart – if we have the will to reach out and make the life of even ONE other person better.

• HumanKindness is what St. Mary Medical Center is all about!

 

The Spirit of St. Mary Award is presented to those who live HumanKindess – daily they make the lives of other people better.
